They monitor our theories by being one of us, and whatever they think is best suited for the plot, they choose.

That’s not really how the animation process works? I’m willing to bet that the entire first season of Korra was 100% ready to air before we even saw the first episode on TV. Right now they’re in the process of storyboarding the last episode of season 2. They are way, way ahead of us and if anyone’s speculations turn out to be true then they’re really observant and have good ideas? There is no way they had taken an of our theories and applied them into the show.
